Why does extending WiFi to outbuildings need to be done professionally?
If your outbuilding WiFi is only ever going to be used for light use and is close enough to your main router to make use of an extender this may be the option for you. You will need to accept that this is the least reliable option and expect dropouts and slowness from time to time.

We would not recommend that a cable is run from your home to your outbuilding without being professionally installed. If the wrong cables are used, they can get easily damaged, internal wires should never be used outdoors.

Will adding an outbuilding to my WiFi network slow down the internet in my home?
